call to order a meeting of the "Slightly Off" Club

was my total contribution to this goal.
I believe we are all and each at least “slightly off”.

And since I am spending my days all slightly off balance, teetering around on one foot, I am deciding not to call forward any further offness at least for now!

when I found out my sister could see with her fingers, I took her to school with me and showed everyone.

after that, I found out the psychology teacher’s wife could also see with her fingers, but not really well.

my sister was taken to Stanford to be tested, where they told her she was lying.

This is not something you can exactly lie about. I mean, you can say you can do it, but then when you do it, it becomes evident you did not lie.

They said she could see around the blindfold. They never got around to telling me how she could see through books and walls though.

They intimidated her. It was a long time before I figured out that they never meant to test her—only to make her stop.

She was only seven.
