I can say this boldly
Life is an adventure
Whether hurtling down a rocky canyon on a bicycle, walking as close as possible to flowing lava, leaping over a 300 foot chasm, standing somewhere- anywhere – and over and over, on the very edge of a continent, or sitting at my laptop exploring the possibility of a kayak adventure in the Sea of Cortez, life is an adventure.
There is also the adventure of tying one’s self to the fortunes of another human, a life partner, perhaps the boldest adventure of all.
Choosing to have experimental surgery to have children, because of being born with an invisible anatomical deformity, and going through the checklist first (must miscarry five times) – that was another adventure.
I am an adventurer. I can’t help myself.
