After the stresses and strains of buying, unpacking, reading instuction manuals etc an ice cold gin and tonic was badly needed.
The first picture taken with the new camera was shot thru the glass showing the distorted reflections of my apartment.
I’ve waited a long long time of this moment. Big smiles !!
... to upload the first pic I took, at that point I will tick this off as done.
I am now the proud owner of a Canon EOS 30D. Sort of got carried away a little cos I also bought a set of studio lights but hey as I’ve said many times on this site … I love shopping.
So then if any wants some piccies taken just driop in when you’re passing :)
In fact … VERY impulsive … any one wanna come shopping with me ? Combination of factors …
1) Confirmed yday that I got a bonus
2) Talking to my friend last night who a pro photographer
3) I’m visiting shops today
4) I gotta drive right past the camera shop
5) It’s raining
6) I’ve got a few eyes lined up
I will resist, I will resist … sound convincing ????
Got a serious list now, camera, lenses and I might even through in a set of studio lights cos I so wanna go for this now. In some ways inspired by the responses to my photos on this site.
That impulsive day is getting closer, I can feel it !!
To the point that I know exactly what camera, lenses etc I want. Trying to convince myself that I can justify £1500 on a hobby. Think maybe I need to sell some photos first …. there again maybe I dont !!
How many more times can I go in the camera shop, check out the prices, ask questions etc. Dunno whats stopping me other than the fact I can take perfectly good pictures on the camera I’ve got.
Shopping on saturday and there it was, the camera of my dreams. Canon digital SLR with 18-55mm and 80-200mm lenses all for the very reasonable price of £800.
How much ?? How can I justify that ??
Maybe after Xmas, if I can control my impulsiveness !!!!!!!!
