Photograph 43 Sunsets

Can you believe it ? I have no will power, I just cannot resist this goal. Maybe cos I started it lol. Anyway here’s the first of a series of 4 sunsets all taken tonight. The other 3 are under comments. Enjoy !!

Well guys this is it, Malc’s final entry on Photographing 43 Sunsets and of course it had to be back to my lakes. 3 shots (2 under comments), all slightly different, and taken around 9pm this evening.

The first is one of those seed pod plant things. Well what do you expect I’m a photographer not a botanist he he.

Looked at the sky, grabbed my camera, and clicked away. Took a number of shots but these are mt 3 favourites. One here and two under comments.

Just noticed only one final entry then I can mark this completed.

I wrote about Michael under a different goal but last week he asked if I would give some advice on taking photos of sunsets. Perfect opportunity for me to use my new camera, and I leant Michael my old one which was a big step up from what he is used to. Anyway as you can see from ... HIS photos he did a fabulous job in capturing the mood.

I was a bit disappointed with my photos and started making excuses about it being the first time I had used the camera, at which point he reminded me it was also the first time he had used the camera he was using. Made me smile and as recognition to Michaels emerging talent I thought it would nice to post a couple of his photos rather than mine.

First time I’ve been out this summer, and also with the new camera. Very different from the previous one in terms of how to get a good shot but I’m getting used to it, and as they say … “practise makes perfect”.

Grabbed my camera as I was on my way to the takeaway. Not brilliant by the standards I set myself but like the magnitude of the cathedral aagainst the sky.

Was in the middle of nowhere, well actually a 1200sq km salt flat, staying in the most basic accomadation, but they had a very very small church. This shot was taken of the roof, at around 6pm. Like it lots.

MJ is fab and one of first people I met on this site. Sometimes she has good days, sometimes not so good. She asked if i would take a sunset pic for her, and has often inspired me thru her writing. So MJ this one is for you … enjoy !!
