learn to make my own clothes and jewelery

...as I’d really like to make the “Cosmo tank” as well as do a short-run line. Looked into getting some American Apparel sustainable (i.e. vegan-friendly) tees and tanks wholesale.

Next step is to gauge screenprinting requirements.

I’ll add the two costs up and ideally be within my meager $500 budget. I’ll be my own model – I am making the clothes to my taste anyway – and sell on request over the summer.

A 33% profit and I’ll call this a boon. May even make the jewelery piece come to life over the Fall/Winter if I’m really stoked…surprised no one’s yet to have done it full-scale as I envision doing it.

I say “short run” because I’d only make the line for me, wear it and create others when/if someone asked.

Start with a bolero jean jacket, move on to some track suits, and maybe a fitted hat or two. Oh, I just may add this too.

I’ve been mulling over the logo for the past few weeks and I think I’ll settle on the Eve meme. It’ll be the shadow of the profile of a woman eating an apple. Then it’ll have the actual “brand name” in the negative space to the right of the graphic.

Hard to explain but if I do it I’ll take a pic and post.

I have no skills in the field but I have a great idea for a women’s accessory that I think would rock the world.

Sigh… where to start?

I gotta get a move on or in a year so I’ll be smacking myself on the head for being such a slow mover.
