figure out how to do the things i want to do on this stupid computer.

this is my second computer, the first one i had was crap, only i didn’t realize it was crap until after i got it, anyway, i bought a printer for the first one, it came with a cd to install it, well, when i figured out it was crap, i ordered a non crappy one from dell, but i threw the cd for the printer away, lost it, whatever, i give, i can’t figure out how to make this printer work with this computer without the cd, i called the printer people and got put on hold for 20 minutes, i will only call back as a last resort, so, having said ALL this, i only want to know if anyone can tell me how to make this work. i know that there has to be a way, but WHAT IS IT?

as bad as i hate to admit it, i just entered the computer age about six months ago. i got to where i was beginning to want one, so i finally did. thank god for instructions and color coded wires, or it would probably still be sitting in the box. really though, i am kind of just learning as i go, figuring stuff out. when i figured out how to get pictures from my digital camera to the computer, and then actually put them somewhere, i swear, i felt like i had won the lottery.
