I never managed to keep up with my paper system, and having extra items to carry around and lose track of didn’t really help either.
My new phone has a function for me to type in a task list, a calendar to keep all my appts and reminders in, and a place to park short memos—so I think I’m going to see how doing everything on my phone works. I’m already used to checking my phone constantly, so as long as I enter in all my appointments and plug in the to-do list each night, I think this will work.

I love my day planner and don’t have a problem with using it, but I keep misplacing it and wind up not using it for weeks at a time! It’s also a bit difficult now that I’m not working because I don’t have a set routine. I resolve to keep my day planner on me constantly from now on so that I remember to use it :)

Frustrated with my inability to get anything done, I ordered a year’s worth of Franklin Covey day planners for 2009 in mid-December and I’ve been sitting in rapt anticipation, looking forward to using them, ever since.
Tomorrow is my first day back to work in 2009, so I am looking forward to developing a new habit of referring to my day planner, adhering to the schedule and to-do and to-call lists written down in it, and to writing down/scheduling things when I think of them so that I’m not bothered by random distractions as much anymore.
