I can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve updated this goal. I am so discouraged. I have been logging my weight daily and I have gained and loss the same three pounds all year long and have made no progress. I read an article about everyone having a “happy weight” which is the weight its body wants to be at. The article said that 87% of women who are of normal weight wants to weigh less and beat them self over it when they should just be happy with the weight they are at. It’s calculated by what your weight should be then you add weight based on your age, activity, whether you ever had children and things like that. I’ve lost seven and a half pounds since January. I envisioned losing two pounds a week but it’s turning out to be two pounds a month. Not the fast weight loss I wanted, but it’s in the right direction. It can be discouraging when you feel like you are depriving yourself and you are not rewarded with great numbers, but I’m pleased I can now fit into last year’s capris. I still would love to lose an additional nine pounds to get into my jeans from two yeara ago. I’m going to stick with it!!!!
...of my low carb diet. I’ve lost two pounds, hurray!!! Have to stick to it! Going to be hard with Easter coming up and a big family meal looming ahead of me, but I’m committed.
OK, summer is approaching and my capris are too tight. I’m totally committed now to my diet. I went to the grocery store yesterday and only bought the food allowed on my low carb diet. I stuck to it yesterday and also did a few excercises. The low carb diet usually works for me fairly fast, I just need to stay committed to it. When I weighed myself this morning I had lost two pounds!!!! OK, some of that may be water, but I had also been pretty good with my eating plan all week so I think I am beginning to lose. I can tell because I get so thirsty in the middle of the night, which is suppose to be a sign of burning weight. I’m really going to reach my goal weight this time and stick with it. Tah dah.
OK so it’s been three weeks since I lost those 3 lbs and to date I’ve lost only another half lb. Actually, I’ve gained and lost a couple pounds in between. This is so frustrating. I really don’t feel like I’ve overeating. I think as I’m getting older my metabolism is slowing down and since I’m so horrible about exercising, the weight is creeping up. I’m recommitted to being as good as gold, well at least as good as silver, on this diet. I’d really like to lose that weight before summer. Keep my fingers crossed (at least you can’t eat as much with crossed fingers, lol)
and thirteen more to go. I’ve almost lost a pound a week since starting my latest diet. Slow but steady progress is a good way to go although I wish I wre seeing faster results. Stay the course!!!!
Time to get more serious about this goal before it becomes a real issue. I’ve started a food journal and I’m shocked at all the empty calories I consume during a day. That has got to stop. Flavored coffee in the morning and wine at night are a waste, good tasting but a waste. I’ve got my target calories for the day and I’m going to try to stick to it.
