I’m reading this book now called “Tripping the Prom Queen” and it talks about how women/girls treat other women/girls so badly. Envy, jealousy and competition cause women to try to damage the success of other women. I think gossiping is a tool women use to do this. I can see the temptation to say something bad about someone you are jealous of. I’m going to resist this urge as much as I can. Others I know come to me with spiteful gossip but I’m not going to get sucked into it. Negativity just brings you down.

Lock those lips 2 years ago

I had lunch with a friend yesterday who told me the most delicious piece of gossip and she made me promise not to tell. I did promise and even though I was dying to spread the word, and had several opportunities to drop it into conversations at work, I kept my word and didn’t tell anyone. Boy, that’s hard, but I feel I’m being such a better friend keeping quiet. Lock those lips.
