This morning we are heading to San Diego, my favorite place. I just love the ocean and we are staying at a hotel that is right on the beach. We are going to some International Airrace that takes place over the San Diego harbor. I don’t much care about planes, but I am looking forward to just watching harbor activity for two days. This will be fun!!

OK, so yesterday I went to my service club’s annual bowling “FUN-Raiser”. It really was a lot of fun and I thought, gee I should add an entry about it then I looked at my list of entries and see I only had three listed and one of them was for a year ago when I went to the first bowling event. That is pathetic. Bowling is so much fun and I remember last year thinking I should do it more often. I am definitely in a rut. I do go to a lot of movies and out to eat which is a fun activity for me, but I have to broaden my experiences and get away from just sitting in front of the tv set and start doing more active things to have fun!
Well today we’re taking a trip to Williams, Arizona where we will take a railroad ride to the Grand Canyon. I’m really looking forward to the trip. I haven’t been to the Grand Canyon since I was a little kid so this will be a great experience. We are going to take a bus trip around the Canyon once we get there. I’ve booked a hotel that nestles next to a forest preserve. I’m looking forward to a restful “fun” time!
This week I went to a wellness seminar at work that featured humor therapist Elaine Lundberg who professes to use humor to relieve stress and enhance wellness. She was really funny and made me realize the importance of lightening up and laughing more. It really is good for your health, and makes you feel better. I already have been trying to smile more, because I find just doing that can actually put you in a better frame of mind. But I’m going to try to take some time to laugh everyday. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. (Actually she says you have to laugh loudly for twenty ha, has in a row to create some sort of body chemical that is good for your health) lol.
So last night I played in a bowling “fun-raiser” for a service club I belong to. It was so much fun. I haven’t bowled since I was probably in fouth or fifth grade. There were 16 teams playing, some were regular bowler but most of us were complete amateurs. We drank beer, socialized and made our best attempt to not make complete fools of ourselves. I bowled 93 the first time and 78 the second. Not very good scores but not humiliating. I had a fun time and would even consider bowling again. It’s good to do something you wouldn’t typically do. I’ll have to do that more often.
