Keep doing strange, impulsive, irrational things!

Strange, impulsive, and irrational? yes…

i am a single mom with next to no money.
i should save all that i can….

but i want to give my daughter the experiences that i always wanted to have when i was younger….

so, back in november, after i scraped and saved up enough money i bought us tickets to go see friends in England. a couple of them are getting married.

then, in January, i saved more money, and i got her passport.

and in January, i decided that i am going to somehow find the money to take her to Paris for a day as her birthday present, because what girl wouldn’t want a day trip to Paris for her 13th birthday?

then i got laid off from my job.

but you know what? i am selling my antiques and other things so that i can do it. because they are just objects…. these experiences for my daughter are more important!

I decided one night about three weeks ago that I would take my daughter to England for Spring Break…. so…. I saved everything I could and bought the tickets to fly over there yesterday. I could have used the money to fix my truck. I could have spent the money on anything or kept it in savings for an emergency…. but no. making my daughter happy and excited about her first trip overseas, TOTALLY worth it!

i’ve done many a strange, implusive, and irrational things….

a couple of weeks ago, i decided to go to england for a month…

i made sandcastles on the beach at night in a skirt.

dressed up all fancy and went to the casino.

going to do some irrational and impulsive things tonight…. hopefully they will be strange.

i went and made midnight sand castles on the beach in Ft lauderdale as a way to ring in the new year instead of drinking.

i went to a casino just because.

i made a new friend who has turned out to be super cool.

i hung out with a one eyed pirate.
went to a carnival with a swordswallowing knife throwing side show guy.
stayed up all night with my daughter’s godfather and planned out matching tattoos.

well, we had a turkey, lots of booze, a little over a dozen people here, a dirty drunken santa, twisted and disturbing valentine’s cards, an easter egg hunt, an effigy that we burned, we smashed a piano into bits and played with the remains, and we played flaming soccer.

it was a strange, irrational and impulsive thanksgiving.

sunday, i took my daughter to the warehouse where we build massive art projects of all sorts for Burning Man and other burning events.

her godfather taught her how to weld, when they were done, i decided to make something as well.

this week, i have made 6 sculptures out of scrap metal and found metal objects… ranging from wall pieces to 5 foot standing pieces.

other than that, the only other random thing that i have done was pick up three drunken people who were trying to find a ride back to their hotel on halloween night, i had a lovely conversation with them and made new friends from NYC.

this week has been rather busy between working and staying at the warehouse until 2am every night.

not much time for random things

i went to a bar and played scrabble with a complete stranger.

i went to a coffee shop/bar and played deluxe uno with some friends and we got loud and obnoxious drunk.

organised a impromptu barbeque at the warehouse that we rent for large scale art projects… my daughter and i had a blast! we played flaming soccer and flaming broom hockey.

i dressed up in a formal evening gown and went grocery shopping. and i didn’t forget to wear my tiara.

bleached my hair yellowish white blonde.

walked around the courtyard of my fourplex with only a tshirt and panties on

a week and a half ago i bought a ticket to go to seattle to see my sister and to see a boy…. i leave to go there in a couple of days

i got a lip tattoo…. it healed toooo well, and had it touched up a couple of days later, then a couple of days later i had it somewhat removed.

i sold my ex husband’s artwork to pay for my hotel stay in seattle.

bought some n20 and had a great evening with my friends.

played tag

gave 20$ to a homeless kid when i only had $25 to my name that week.

this is just a few of the things that i have done in the past two weeks.
