Stop caring what other people think of me

I have had this goal for a while but it’s really just hitting me now.

The hard truth is that most people you are around now, your friend, coworkers, etc etc. will most likely not stay in your life.

Even your “best friend” will probly fade away some day.

So why try to please them?

I need to be myself. The only people I should really care about pleasing is my family, and I know that they will accept me in almost anything I decide. Those are the people that I will be surrounded by the rest of my life.
And they know the real, nerdy, freaky me anyways. Why not embrace it?

I’m one of those people who hates offending other people.
I don’t like making other people uncomfortable.
I’ll say and do things that I really don’t want just in order to please everyone else (unless it EXTREMELY goes against my morals).
It’s like second nature.
I don’t wear what I want or eat what I want because I’m afraid of what my family will think.
It’s getting pretty pathetic.
