or just for fun. We just went for the fun part, but we JUMPED THREE JUMPS. YEAH!!!!! And we both did great. It’s an incredible autumn day out and an absolutely beautiful day to ride. We both had so much fun. We completed the course in a little over an hour-an-a-half. The optimal time was 50 minutes. We did more walking than anything else, but we also trotted and cantered some of the course.
Jack is such a terrific horse! I can’t believe how well he did over the jumps. That’s not us in the picture. I have to get some pictures. Also, it wasn’t a hunt course at a show, but more of a real hunt course over trails, hills, etc.
There’s hope for this goal yet.

We walked quite a bit, some trotting, and a little bit of cantering. We also did a few rounds over some cavaletti at a trot. He did wonderfully. After I unsaddled him, I rode him bareback for a while. I need to do this more often to work more on my balance and seat.
There might still be hope for this goal. Maybe not stadium jumping, but hunt courses might be a possibility.

to accomplish it. I just don’t bounce as well as I did when I was younger. Hitting the ground with great velocity hurts more. I’d like to think I’d never get thrown, but the possibility is always there. I’ll just have to see.
