54. August Rush – Film about a musical prodigy. I enjoyed this but there were far to many plot holes to take it seriously. Jonathan Rhyse Myers was hot though. – 6/10
55. Hellboy 2 – I haven’t actually saw Hellboy 1 but this was ok. Funny and full of action. – 6/10.
56. Handcock – This was pretty poor and it ended quite abruptly. – 3/10.

50. WALL E – I didn’t think this was as good as Toy Story like the hype suggested but the animation was amazing and it was a lovely story. I felt the second half of the film let it down a bit – 8/10

51. The Dark Knight – One word – Awesome! 10/10

52. Forgetting Sarah Marshall – Kirsten Bell was excellent as usual and Russell Brand was fab. I found this very funny but the direction didn’t seem to flow well – 7/10

53. Death Sentence – Kevin Bacon plays a grieving father who turns vigilante on violent gang. I found this stupid and ridiculously over the top – 4/10

47. DeathNote 1 & 2 – I have already watched and loved the anime and this is the live action movie. It doesn’t cover the full anime story and changes some of it but it still makes for a good film. Very well acted too. 8/10

48. Drillbit Taylor – Silly film starring Owen Wilson who is as charming as ever, but still can’t save this movie. Like “cleaner” Superbad. 5/10.

49. 21 – This about some math genius college kids learning to count cards in Blackjack under the instruction of teacher Kevin Spacey. This film was cool and interesting but it was dragged out about 40 minutes too long. 7/10

44. High School Musical – I figured I should watch this as the Brownies are always talking about it. This was fun to watch and Zac Efron was fabulously over the top 6/10.

45. The Air I Breathe – This is really 3 short stories that interlink (like Crash) the acting was great and it was stunning to watch. 8/10.

46. Sex and the City – I loved the tv show and this was really just an update on how the girls are doing now. 6/10.

42. The Darjeeling Limited – I really don’t get these Wes Anderson films. My boyfriend assures me they are “hilarous” but to me this was boring. It was about nothing, the characters were unbelievable and it wasn’t funny even with the random bits of slow motion (is this supposed to be the funny part?). I give it marks for the beautiful Indian scenary 4/10

43. Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Crystal Skull -I thought Harrison Ford did really well and Cate Blanchette nailed her role but the story wasn’t strong and there was a lot of needless CGI 6/10

39. Lust Caution – Engrossing story, very well acted and no I didn’t watch it for the dirty bits! 9/10

40. 30 Days of Night – Possibly the worst film I’ve ever seen. The story makes no sense, terrible direction, unlikeable characters but the vampires looked cool 1/10

41. Cloverfield – I actually really enjoyed this. It’s shot with a handheld camera and is deliberatley shakey. It reminded me more of an adventure game than a movie but I thought it was fun, the acting was poor but overall an enjoyable piece of entertainment 8/10

37. Gone Baby Gone – Fabulous film staring Morgan Freeman and Casey Affleck (who should be in more films IMO), starts like a run of the mill thriller but will an amazing twist 9/10

38. Accepted – Stupid film about a boy who doesn’t get into college so makes his own. Not very funny but the characters were likeable enough 4/10

I’ve missed a load but here is the most recent ones:

32. Awake – Quite dumb and over the top but it actually kept my interest throughout. 6/10

33. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time – This is an anime. The story was very different and touching. A must. 9/10

34. The Sisterhood of Travelling Pants – Worst name for a movie ever, but I really enjoyed this. Good, clean story and I even shed a few tears. 8/10

35. Street Kings – Great acting, good story if a little predictable. Highly entertaining. 8/10

36. Fools Gold – Fun in places but there was very little point to this other that Kate Hudson and Matthew McConauhey in their scants. 4/10

29. Reign Over Me – Nice film, good story, loved Don Cheadle in this but I think Adam Sandler struggled a bit. 8/10

The Nanny Diaries – I was quite surprised by the number of good actors in this film, but the story was really corny. 6/10

30. Beowulf – Not really my kind of film (not a fan of medievil type stories) but it was better than I thought. Good old fashioned story and quite enjoyable. 7/10

American Gangster – (sneaked into this after Beowulf he he) Brilliant movie, not usually a fan of Russell Crowe but he was outstanding, and Densil Washington was fab as usual. Great story too. Would highly recommend this. 10/10

31. 1408 – This film starts off quite interesting and it’s a nice idea, and it starts quite creepy (especially the bit where he sees someone in the building across the road) but like most Stephen King stories it goes a bit beyond the realm of my imagination. If they cut 30 min it would have been better. 6/10

Vacancy – Ok film, jumpy in places and generally entertaining but I got annoyed by the two main characters bickering all the time. 6/10

27. Blades of Glory – Better and funnier than I expected it to be, although it was very much a leave your brain at the door film. 5/10

28. Rataouille – I loved this and I only went to see it as there was nothing else on. Great story, fun characters and I totally want a pet rat now! 10/10
