...but I still have a few that I do myself. What a relief! Of course he never balances the checkbook so there’s danger there. One of the reasons I’ve paid the bills since the 2nd year we were married is that he never enters checks into the register. But now he’s using excel as a glorified checkbook. I suppose it’s easier than learning Quicken or Quickbooks.

Today I separated medical bills from other bills. I’ve done this before and then mixed the stacks up again. Made folders for each family member. That’s as far as it goes.
I’ve been told to organize them by date of service. But I have five family members, so I organize them by name then DOS. Now my new insurance company is saving paper by printing multiple dates/multiple service providers on one EOB (explanation of benefits). I have an excel spreadsheet to keep track of all this but at tax time, I still don’t have it all together.
