I had bilateral Carpal Tunnel Release surgery when I was 20. I was really resistant to having hand surgery, but there was no other way to fix my problems. While I still have other RSIs from time to time, I’ve never had any pain anywhere near as severe as I did when I was younger. Plus, I now have new lifelines that run all the way down my wrists, which is kind of a nice side effect, scar-wise.
