I finally got around to it and took a tandem introduction ride last summer! It was great! The flight company I went with was a little disorganized, and I ended up doing a lot of standing around waiting for them to get organized, which was a little bothersome, and the ride up to the Launch site was kind of weird, (20 people crammed into the back of an old truck!). But once we got to the launch site, my training pilot was great, explained everything very well, it was a great flight and he even let me steer for a bit.
Very fun, and I’d like to go again/more often, but the training and flying is a little time-consuming and weather dependent, and there’s just not enough time to do everything!

I found a web-site for a western washington paragliding group:
http://www.paraglidewashington.com/PGW_sites.htm
and they have introductory tandem flights for only $150.00 and the launch sites aren’t too far from where I live, so I need to check it out!
