I have been taking a running class whose ultimate goal is to run 30 minutes at the end of eight weeks (run/walking is expected). I seem to keep tweaking my knees. The conclusion I and the instructor have come to is that I just need to do strength training on my legs—I’ve been hopelessly sedentary for so long they just can’t handle running.
So be warned! I think it is a good idea to combine some simple knee strengthening exercises as you begin to run.
