Intense visual memory

I tried remembering, imagining a few visual spaces and was surprised by the intenseness of visual memory.
How cool would it be to have an entire complex of buildings (even a city). I was thinking of using the memory palace to memorize a universal historical timeline. Maybe a room per century. Or a room per geographical area. Not sure at this point.
For remembering numbers, I’m deciding between the Major Mnemonic system and the Dominic System. Any advice?
