So it runs. Sure, I stalled it out once and had to wave people around me as I tried to get it started again. Sure, it smoked when I drove it. (but not like a fire. Just like all the exhaust isn’t making it out the the back)
These happened for 2 reasons, respectively:
1) It’s touchy. It’s old. I need to learn to drive it with kid gloves. It needs more gas before I let up the clutch than I’m used to. etc. etc. There will be a learning curve on driving an old car.
2) No matter what I do, it will always be falling apart. I’m coming to grips that keeping an old car running isn’t like learning to bike. It’s like Clayface trying to keep himself together in the rain.
I’m still sitting around thinking about what I’m putting into this and what I’m getting out of it. But I guess I do this with every aspect of my life.
I’m leaving this goal here as I’m not done with it. Even though I drove it to work today. Maybe i need to reword it now.
