nightly routine 9 months ago

Here’s a great nightly routine that flows into my morning routine…

Before I go to sleep, I spend a minute or two visualizing. What I see is myself waking up the next morning, saying, “I am getting out of bed!” over and over until I roll out of bed.

Works great!

Give it a try and let me know what happens! :)

My current daily morning routine 10 months ago

So off the top of my head, it goes something like this:

  1. Wake up and immediately get into child pose as it’s called in yoga. I find it easy to get into this pose first as it takes less effort than getting up out of bed immediately.
  2. Stretch briefly, then roll out of bed.
  3. Take supplements: probiotics, digestive enzyme (before I have my morning shake that follows), and Every Man’s One Daily vitamins (high quality organic vitamins)
  4. Shower (shave, too, if I feel like it)
  5. Make my morning shake:
    • 2 bananas
    • 2 scoops of non-GMO rice protein
    • 1 teaspoon of Spirulina
    • 2 tablespoons of Udo’s Oil EFA suppliment
  6. Check facebook and email while drinking shake, shutting them off the moment I finish my shake.
  7. Then I put on some music to get pumped (usually death metal, hardcore, or punk). Change my physiology (jump up and down, shout, celebrate) and prepare myself for the next step.
  8. Morning declariations—First, I say a few affirmations from Anthony Robbins:

    Now I am the voice!
    I will lead not follow!
    I will believe not doubt!
    I will create not destroy!
I am a force for good!
    I am a leader!

  9. The Millionaire Mind declarations (3 times each)
  10. Moment of gratitude. Take a couple minutes to reflect on everything I’m grateful for.
  11. More affirmations (improvised on the spot)
  12. If I have time, start on my most important task of the day. Otherwise, head to work.
  13. On the way to work, I do breathing exercises on the bus for five minutes continuously:
    1. Breath in 4 seconds.
    2. Hold for 4 seconds.
    3. Breath out 4 seconds.
  14. Also, I might read a book I have with me on the bus.
