Here’s a great nightly routine that flows into my morning routine…
Before I go to sleep, I spend a minute or two visualizing. What I see is myself waking up the next morning, saying, “I am getting out of bed!” over and over until I roll out of bed.
Works great!
Give it a try and let me know what happens! :)

So off the top of my head, it goes something like this:
- Wake up and immediately get into child pose as it’s called in yoga. I find it easy to get into this pose first as it takes less effort than getting up out of bed immediately.
- Stretch briefly, then roll out of bed.
- Take supplements: probiotics, digestive enzyme (before I have my morning shake that follows), and Every Man’s One Daily vitamins (high quality organic vitamins)
- Shower (shave, too, if I feel like it)
- Make my morning shake:
- 2 bananas
- 2 scoops of non-GMO rice protein
- 1 teaspoon of Spirulina
- 2 tablespoons of Udo’s Oil EFA suppliment
- Check facebook and email while drinking shake, shutting them off the moment I finish my shake.
- Then I put on some music to get pumped (usually death metal, hardcore, or punk). Change my physiology (jump up and down, shout, celebrate) and prepare myself for the next step.
- Morning declariations—First, I say a few affirmations from Anthony Robbins:
Now I am the voice!
I will lead not follow!
I will believe not doubt!
I will create not destroy!
I am a force for good!
I am a leader!
- The Millionaire Mind declarations (3 times each)
- Moment of gratitude. Take a couple minutes to reflect on everything I’m grateful for.
- More affirmations (improvised on the spot)
- If I have time, start on my most important task of the day. Otherwise, head to work.
- On the way to work, I do breathing exercises on the bus for five minutes continuously:
- Breath in 4 seconds.
- Hold for 4 seconds.
- Breath out 4 seconds.
- Also, I might read a book I have with me on the bus.
