Although its not quite the end of the month, I am ready to assess what I did for August, and move on to September!
So for August:
Take action with:
MOVE my body! Managed to get a couple of hikes in and a few walks. 4 hikes total, which isn’t too bad, and a few walks too. It is a start!
Career development – Make progress with moving forward! At work I’ve been given more projects that will help me with my resume/skills, for wherever I decide to go with my career.
Social life – Find new ways to meet new people, reconnect with people I haven’t seen in a while. Make plans every week I’ve been making progress with this, reconnected with a friend of mine, and we’ve had some time to hang out which has been fun!
Condo Project – 5 hours a week on simplifying, beautifying my home! Reorganize, but ultimately SIMPLIFY I think only one week did I completely fail at this. Most weeks I was well over the 5 hours, as I feel like I’m finally into the groove. Feels great too to get rid of that stuff that I don’t want/need anymore. Feels good!
Financial – Didn’t make a lot of headway here, but I’m going to implement into my Sept Bootcamp some how as this will give me some options for things I want to do, if I get on track with it (Travel for 1 thing!!)
30 Day Challenge Embrace my creativity! (This one I’ve had so much pleasure with and have taken at least one photo each day of August.. It does get harder as the month goes on, and I find myself talking to strangers more, noticing things that I might not have before.
Adventure:
* Cooking: – not so much! I think I’ve had one or two evenings where I made something truly different!
- Went hiking in the mountains, and some urban walks! Also saw bears along the highway when I went out hiking the one weekend. We had to change plans but quickly!! (1 grizzly and baby, and then about 5 miles down the highway a black bear!) Yowsers!
Do we have a September Bootcamp set up yet?? Can’t wait! I love September – my fav month !

Week #1 .. August 5/12
Well it was just after a FEW Days actually – but!
Action:
• Move my body!! did a 2 hr urban hike! Also have weekly walks planned now with a friend…
• Career Development: approached a supervisor about getting some training on specific area I’m interested in…. and getting the green light to keep going with a project I want to delve into deeper than ever before!
• Social Life – went out twice with friends last week! I also have made plans for events coming up over the month!
• Taking ‘action’ to complet’ some ‘unfinished’ projects: ie.
• Continuously working on crossing off items on the never-ending ‘to do’ list! There is always more to do!
• Spent some time on the ‘condo project’.. (declutter, reorganize, clean/simplify/beautify!) The aim is to have a dinner party once I’ve done the improvements, that I’ll be working on! (painting/new flooring/small kitchen reno).…Next week I’m going to put myself in high gear, so that the weekend is ‘free’ to do the fun stuff!
•30 Day Challenge – Spent some time with this, and I have to say it was, a blast to work on! I’m excited and hope to keep going on it daily.
Adventure: (?) !
• Cooking: I’m making veggie burgers for myself tonight, from SCRATCH. It will be interesting to see how they turn out!
• Hiking: On Friday I did a 2 HOUR hike in an urban park and it was great. It has me planning other hikes over the next few weeks and so nice to have some things to look forward to

For my August plan, I shall strive to….....
Take action with:
- MOVE my body! My version of a fitness plan. To gain strength, especially in the core and back, to improve my cardio!
- Career development – Make progress with moving forward!
- Social life – Find new ways to meet new people, reconnect with people I haven’t seen in a while. Make plans every week
- Condo Project – 5 hours a week on simplifying, beautifying my home! Reorganize, but ultimately SIMPLIFY
- Financial – Make the plan for you. ie. new home/trip
- 30 Day Challenge Embrace my creativity! (More on this later!) A fun project!
Adventure
I looked this up in a dictionary!!
An adventure is defined as:
- an exciting or very unusual experience.
participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises: the spirit of adventure.
- a bold, usually risky undertaking; hazardous action of uncertain outcome.
- a commercial or financial speculation of any kind; venture.
peril; danger; risk.
- chance; fortune; luck.
An adventure can be associated with an activity such as hiking or going on a trip but it can also simply mean trying new things or revisiting a place/activity with the spirit of adventure!
-Once a week, use a new recipe, this month I’m trying some vegetarian types!
- A couple of hikes over the month
- Go to new places ( a park, a museum,a drive, perhaps just a store, or restaurant I’ve never eaten in or attend an event)!
It doesn't have to be a 'big' adventure to be fun!
