Daily: Reflect on 5 things for which I'm grateful.

1.) one asking how it’s going with X. fine. what once was an issue no longer seems to be. the day has finally come.
2.) an email from the volunteer boss, asking if I’ll be helping in december. I don’t know if there was the mass email listing the events I didn’t get. but if so, it wasn’t on purpose because they would like my help.
3.) new old music.
4.) only talking to one on the phone, and she’s not easily within visiting distance. she knows how to get under my skin.
5.) texting practice of sending a “yep” response to one. now a two sentence long reply to another.

1.) one asking if he did anything wrong. no, the bff was just messing.
2.) paypal working. I’d never sent money with it, only received. pretty much the same, although next time I’ll click a box differently.
3.) baking.
4.) trimming shorter layers of hair.
5.) unpacking more raku. too pretty to be left wrapped in newspaper. finding two extra raku ornaments. will be added to mom’s presents. she doesn’t have many ornaments, and will be getting a real tree this year. wrapping them and more presents. not sure which will be birthday and which christmas. two weeks apart.

1.) waking to a well behaved cat.
2.) a recommendation for a movie that about sums up my life right now.
3.) the cat lightening the mood.
4.) comfy old jeans.
5.) hot water and washing dishes. I’ve been cold all day.

1.) a morning message from him.
2.) remembering about the bottle cap plastic ring in a pocket before the pants from last night went through the wash. when one of the current bottle plastic bracelets break, I’ll make another.
3.) one agreeing with me. it’s my life. another can’t run it for me, even though she’s trying.
4.) his shoulder, scruff, a walk to the store and him cooking. renting a dvd, another hoodie now smells like him.
5.) so familiar and comfortable. hearing that I’ll be missed.

1.) remembering at the early alarm why it was set. making the call, ordering a ticket, trying to get back to sleep. although at that point I was awake.
2.) one reiterating what I’ve been up to. o yea, I have had interviews. but they were looking for some retail experience. which I’m currently trying to get now. seems no one wants to hire me for the limited gallery work around here.
3.) another walk, finding a quarter. sore muscles.
4.) looking up next month’s events. sadly, not many.
5.) more christmas shopping done at antique shops. I had an hour to browse before my shift at the event. friendly talk with the more intimidating of the bosses. a smile from one that walked past the bar. successfully opening a wine bottle, after a reminder from a guest when I was having trouble with an earlier one.

1.) baking and music while the other went to pick up two.
2.) grabbing the cat before she squeezed her body under the fence. I didn’t know she’d fit.
3.) getting credit when one said the meal was good. what of it did I make? microwaved vegetables and pumpkin bread. banana bread is for the morning.
4.) getting out for a walk, sure. I can only handle so much family at a time. good music. finding a penny.
5.) talking to him. despite the recent mixed talk of him. 1- he makes me happy. 2- I can talk to him. and I don’t just talk to anyone, nor is it easy to just start to talk to anyone for me. 3- he knows me and I know him. must I go on?

1.) makeup browsing.
2.) baking rolls with granny. and her commenting “..yea she knows how to do it.” kneading. I’ve made them with her before.
3.) dark chocolate.
4.) plugging in working speakers.
5.) finding a cute jacket in my old closet. it wouldn’t have used to fit me, or have been my style. but does and is now.

1.) “que pasa bonita senorita?” I was told it meant “what’s up pretty lady.”
2.) “so what else rocks your socks besides coffee and half priced paint.” I checked, it was the one that asked me wanting to know. also told me that I have few weaknesses.
3.) waking to a message from him.
4.) gloves.
5.) my parents are more alike than they think. my mom is hanging senior paintings, several, in each room of her new house. my dad too, tells me on this visit he wants to hang more that have been stacked in a pile. there is a point. I’d rather them be hung than be unseen in a pile. well maybe the majority that I’m happy with.
6.) fresh salad.
7.) knowing one’s password for his laptop. mine wasn’t connecting to the internet. I guess a break from everything for me. some much needed time away.
8.) cooking with my grandmother.
9.) calling one, being told to try x steps again to get my internet to work. I’d already tried, but this time it decided to work.
10.) a ton of junk email when I could get online. made me feel special even though I just deleted most of it.

1.) going to bed early last night.
2.) sensible, talking to my sister. relationships are difficult because we didn’t have a good model of it growing up.
3.) different music.
4.) at least it was another aspect of my life being analyzed this weekend. and the analyzer is now gone.
5.) release of emotion. even though it was difficult to stop crying once I started.

1.) lyrics from one of his songs from a family member. and the world seems so much more connected. weird.
2.) having the same face wash up here. progress on getting ready as another probably locked the door to the bathroom for some time while she was getting ready.
3.) noticing similar tendencies between myself and my sister.
4.) one told me I looked nice. odd for who it was. it is a dress up day, arts center tonight.
5.) a package was delivered today.
