I will always be watching the trading DVDs I currently have or acquiring new ones as I need to learn more. This is a part of being a good trader, for me, to continually learn.
My trading DVDs are invaluable to me. They are NOT for sale. I will not be making copies either.
Don’t Ask.
I find it odd that all these people have put this on their list of goals, yet have no other goals or does anything on “43” anywhere else, or provides any information on themselves.
If you’re unwilling to share information about yourselves and use this as the other normal folks here on “43”, please don’t waste my time.
Today I got my Steve Nison DVDs. I’ll be watching them over the next couple weeks. I also bought some other DVDs and bought the book Dave Landry on Swing Trading. Looks like I have plenty of materials to study over the months to come.
I’m getting some DVDs from Steve Nison and some other areas, so I’ll have plenty of knowledge here to learn from in the next few months, as well as rewatch the DVDs I already own. Lots of work!!!
Today I watched Ari Kiev talking about Becoming A Disciplined Trader. It’s okay. It was good to see other traders talking about their faux paus (sp?). That helps. I wish they would’ve stopped saying winning and losing. Hate those terms. It’s a business with profits and costs.
I’m rewatching some of Ryan’s and Markay’s DVDs yesterday and today. Wow, it’s amazing what I miss.
There are 7 people who have this as a goal. I’m one of them and I was the one that created this goal. The other 6 people, this is the only goal they have, no entries anywhere on 43 or any other goals….This just seems weird.
As I was doing stock stuff, I began listening to the CD set by T. Harv Eker. It is aweome!! I love when he tells us to touch our head and say, “I have a mind of a millionaire!” My kids were even doing this. There is still a ways to go but I am on the right track to becoming a millionaire. This is a 3-CD set and I got mine off of Amazon. Love that place, the marketplace, and half.com.
My DVDs for Market Essentials came and though I did not take this class, it’s good to have this as reference. Got the manual and 12-DVD set. I know a new set was just produced, but having the old set is fine.
Going to put this CD set on my MP3 player b/c there is a lot of good stuff on this set.
Here are just some notes I took on this DVD set.
The best entrance is when the exit is close and clear—support/resistance (neutral spot = indecision).
When you dance with a gorilla, let the gorilla lead.
A rising tide floats all boats.
Hurry up and go slow.
Peacefully co-exist with the market.
Blend with the market.
The market will never listen to me, and I cannot beat it. However, it will speak to me if I listen to it carefully. It will speak to me through historical patterns in charts – pictures and tell me about the habits & sentiments of the traders.
You always want to have the countermove (reversal, exit) if your position goes against you no matter WHEN that happens. If you do not have the way out, you should not enter.
Do not antipate. Let the stock tell you what it’s doing. Do not fight the market. Go with it. Catch the momentum, not collide with the market.
The “stick to it”, “I can do it” attitude will kill you in the market and is very dangerous. The “I do not quit”, “hang in there”, “be tough” is TERRIBLE in the market.
There is no winning or losing in the market, but blending so you can fight the next battle. That is not a good mindset. When you think of winning or losing, you have already lost, in a tactical sense. Win and lose are core level triggers. They will cause you to mess up in your trading.
Money will come as a result of good trading, making good trades. Do the actions right and consistently.
Left Brain = Logic
Right Brain = Feelings (when you’re scared, you go to right side = irrational)
Need to train to use left brain in high stress situations.
Approach has to be neutral and the response has to be unwaivering.
You will get the things in life that you focus on. Relax and let your head go first.
Time and experience will create the formulas.
No mind. You don’t think about it anymore because you’ve been trained so well that your response is so natural to do the right, logical thing.
Practice like your hair is on fire.
Repetition is the mother of skill. Practice makes permanent, so you’d better do it right/perfectly. Need to do tons of practice trades as real of a situation as you can.
You cannot exceed your own expectations, even if someone teaches you how. Limits are self-imposed, self-maintained, and self-removed. You may need help to learn how to remove those limiting/sabotaging behaviors. The way you see yourself will determine how the world reacts to you.
Hypnosis is dehypnosis. They are relaxed and no longer bound by those self-limiting factors.
Getting the skills to trade successfully, you need to raise your skill level. I NEED. This is not a WANT, rather a NEED. You WILL get what you need, but not necessarily what you want.
You need the accountability to hold you to it. Need to bring a 3rd party into this. This puts a little pressure on. You need to make the commitment outloud and to others. The next logical thing the brain will say is “How am I going to make this happen?” Need to ask yourself the right questions. Be careful with the type of questions you ask yourself.
A journal is NOT an option. A good trading journal is mandatory. Need to keep details notes about my trades.
Trades that you messed up on will teach me a great deal over the trades where I was successful. They will mirror what I really think.
Strategy has to be flexible for when the environment changes. It cannot be rigid. The market is the market. It does not do stuff to me.
Give up being right. This means I will never be wrong again. Successful traders separate themselves from others and their own opinions. I have no place putting my opinion into a trade.
We own our mistakes.
