Say I love you to the people I love at least twice everyday.

I told both my parents today that I loved them today when I was picking up my son after work. The look on both of their faces when I said it threw me off a bit. I guess it was because of the startled look.. then a kind of pause. My mothers face immediatly softened and she gave me a kiss and told me that she loved me too. As I was leaving I gave my dad a kiss on the cheek and he gave me a longer hug than usual and told me he loved me. I really need to do this more often. I’m guessing I don’t say it nearly enough.

I’m not doing this just to hear it back but to just say it to those I love. It’s just as important as hearing it said to you
