What constitutes a soulmate? 4 years ago

I mean, would your soulmate be one for life? Or would he be your soulmate for that moment? Would we have different soulmates for different phases of our lives? Or should it be one that stays throughout? Is there such a thing as ex-soulmate? What if you never find one? Would you be truly happy? And if you do, would you feel complete? Would you spend your life searching for your soulmate? Or would he already be there, waiting to be discovered? What if you don’t realize and keep on looking, would he wait for you?
