tell my family i love them more

Well, I need to get better at this every day, but I made sure that on Mother’s day I sent cards to my mom, nana and grandma, as well as Dan’s mom and grandmother with notes about how special they are to me inside. All of them came back saying how much it meant to them. So while stuff like that makes me uncomfortable sometimes, I know it’s important to them to hear.

My dad asked me to come home for Easter and I said ok. My mom was in Florida and my dad had to be here to take care of his parents and my brother. My parents have done an insane amount for me, so despite not loving having to travel that much for such a short weekend…I said sure. Spent the whole weekend spending time with my dad, cooking, keeping him company and trying to keep the bratty to a minimum. I am going to go back and try to tell them on a daily basis how much I love them and how much I value them being in my life.
