knit more

Making steady progress on a coat for my niece. Knitted about 30 cms already! Of course it seems to be made out of more cat hair than wool but that’s another story…

The wool and book arrived yesterday and I’ve started knitting tension swatch which is rather dull… Does everyone bother doing this? Does it REALLY make a difference? I find that my mood changes the tension with which I knit anyway…

I’m planning to knit a little coat for my niece. I bought the wool online and hopefully it’ll arrive tomorrow. I can’t wait! I want to knit more this year, though sometimes I’m torn between knitting things for the various kids in my life (I don’t have any but I have godchildren, nieces/nephews, friends’ kids) and knitting things for me to wear or for the house. I guess I can (should!) only work on one thing at a time so I’ll just have to wait and see how I feel after I finish knitting this coat!
