But a windjammer-a real, tall ship, with sails snapping and wood decks-THAT appeals to me. One description of the particular company I’m eyeing says “This is not a luxury cruise; cabins are fairly small.” But the great thing is, this isn’t the kind of cruise where you hang out in your cabin staring out a porthole and having food brought to you by obsequious porters and staff. Cabins are for sleeping…unless you want to sleep up top. Even standing on deck is ten times more exciting under popping white sails than on your standard cruise line where you can barely even tell you’re on the ocean.
Plus, it’s cheaper.
I’m thinking…20th anniversary (next year?) Or maybe 25th anniversary? If I had more disposable income I’d be booking right now instead of writing this.
