One of my favorite movies is “A Home Of Our Own”. It stared Kathy Bates. It’s the story of a single mom with five children. Her goal is to buy a home of their own. The main character has no money and no savings.
I started off with nothing, but so far this year for the last 6 months, I’ve been saving as much as I can.
I’ve saved $1,200 so far with ING Direct, will add another $500 this month. I’ve already recieved interest on my money. Only $3 dollars and change; but every little bit helps the cause!

I just opened an ING Direct Account last week, Pays 4.35% monthly. My checking account paid no interest; I was shocked to find out. It was free with direct deposit, but paid no interest. Now I only use it to recieve my paychecks; then I quickly will put my savings into the ING Direct savings account from now on. Think about it and let me know if anyone is doing the same thing. They also have great cd’s, I plan on opening soon;5.20% interest.
