Blew the cobwebs away 3 years ago

Had a great walk along the seafront yesterday with my parents. It was freezing and very windy.

But oh so bracing.

The sea was green and the sky was grey – but there was a small optimisitc slit in the overcast sky out to sea. A fleeting glance of a golden sunset.

My favourite place in the world 3 years ago

Having grown up on the South coast I can’t help but yearn for the smell of the sea and a brisk walk along the shoreline. It’s not the beach that I love (although it’s not bad) ... but the smell of the seaweed, the scream of the seagulls, the crashing of the waves and the fishing boats.

I think the best place in the world is Emsworth. It’s a fishing village on the Hampshire/Sussex borders. It’s got everything – great pubs, restaurants, a beautiful shoreline and also a food festival every year.

This is a perfect place to live … one day.
