I am not endorsing the book Deceptively Delicious, but I did make the “buttered noodles” today and they were really good; just in case any of you have the book.

So I bought the book that had been on a bunch of talk shows. I was a little disappointed beause it is aimed at children and I did not know that, bt some of the recipes have been OK. I made some banana bread and apple muffins that were tasty. I’m actually eating the turkey chili today. Did not like the meatball soup. It’s alittle hit or miss and the recipes are a little time consuming but I recommend it overall. For any that have read my previous entries, I’m stilll drinking that healthy concoction.
So, my best friend paid me a surprise vsiit from 2 hours away and was craving mexican food. I ate few chips, but Mexican cuisine is not the healthiest. We then topped it off with a small cup of ice cream. I don’t feel particularly proud of myself, but I guess it could have been worse.
So a friend told me about this healthy concoction that is supposed to cleanse out your system. In a blender,(this recipe is for 2) you mix 1/4 celery, 1/2 green apple, some Italian parsley leaves, and 1/4 cucumber and water. That should make about 2 small glasses and you drink this on an empty stomach. You can then have breakfast 30 minutes later. I finally did it today. It’s not delicious, but it isn’t disgusting. Let’s see what effect this will have. . . will keep you poste4. . .
