read Catcher in the Rye

So my friend recently recommended this book to me. Yes, of course, I’d heard of it before; but I’m just not a big fan of American literature. I went to an IB school in high school and was scholastically trained on international works (plus, I have zero interest in slave horror, dust bowl poverty, and idealistic expansionism – all great American themes).

But I trust Ben and so I picked it up at the library today… Let’s see how this goes.
