I’m buying a surfboard and a wet suit.I will never live in a place that is landlocked, therefore I think its a good investment.

Now that I’ve don it a few times and i totally love it i will buy a board, because rental places aren’t oo reliable, plus the cost is higher renting all the time. I’m waiting for summer again.
A buddy of mine and I went down to the beach on a wednseday morning in August. We drank a few beers and sunbathed then met up with a couple of girls I know who happened to have surfboards with them. We took turns on the boards but then they had to leave but left the boards with us so we stayed out for hours. When we started there weren’t many waves, but it started building throughout the day and at the end we were having a blast and were both hooked. Its cold here in the winter so I need a wetsuit if I want to keep surfing, they say the waves are best in the fall and winter. It’s October and I see more surfboards on peoples roof-racks.
I went to Daytona beach Florida this summer and rented a Surfboard for a day. The locals told me the waves were a fun size for surfing so I got on my board and headed out into the waves. The only problem was the current was so strong I couldn’t even make my way into the waves and I slowly noticed I was down the beach about a mile because of the current. My first time surfing in Hawaii seemed so easy aside from the muscle fatigue, but this time was just a disaster. I was sore and didn’t even stand up once!
I live in Massachusets and recently went to Hawaii and learned how to surf.I fell in love with it but I dont have much skill or a board. I loved the adrenaline and the shoulder exercise…and the beach! Summer is coming and i have a new truck and some cash saved up for a board and wet suit.I hope its worth the effortin New england.
