My insomnia is still as bad as ever, so I’m making myself some goals with the hopes that I will cure my insomnia.
1. Don’t use my bed for anything other than sleeping & sex. No reading in bed, no looking at my laptop in bed, etc.
2. Exercise daily – aim for 45 minutes per day. Have as much sex as possible.
3. No caffeine after 7 PM.
4. Go to bed by 10 PM on school/work nights. If I’m not asleep by 11, take a sleeping pill. Get up by 8 AM. (*may need to adjust times)
5. If I lay in bed for 30 minutes without falling to sleep – get up and do something else for 15 minutes, such as meditating, reading, or listening to relaxing music.
6. Don’t go to bed hungry. If I’m hungry, eat a Fiber One bar and drink plenty of water.
7. Bed-time routine: Feed cat, brush teeth, wash face, get a glass of water, check locks, bed.
8. If partying – go to bed by 1 AM. Don’t sleep in past 11.
9. Try using essential oils and candles.
