I have this vision of an entire wall covered, side to side, floor to ceiling, with books, all read, all cherished. I imagine a built in shelf about 5” deep: deep enough for most books, but not too obtrusive. The books will be in no particular order, or if there is an order, I want to change the criteria from time to time – one year it’s by author, next year by title. The year after that it’s by size, and after that, the color of the spine. I want to collect previously read literature the way DJs collect vinyl.
