Today I saw a TV program where some “expert” forced a couple to spend £4000 on their hallway! And it didn’t look any different than it did before. That’s twice as much as I’ve estimated for all the essential stuff (cooker, washing machine, sofa, bed etc) I’ll need to buy when I move out. Either I’m very cheap or there are some very disturbed people out there. Who spends over a grand on “accesories” for a hall? Then a lying estate agent told them, with an admirable absence of a smirk, that they had added £20,000 to the value of there house!

Who's in charge of this housing market?

I’ve done my sums and the soonest I can actually afford this is around about June next year (renting) or when I’m about 35 (buying). Think I probably ought to start renting otherwise I’ll spend the next eleven year going mad.
