move to seattle

I put my apartment on the market last week and already there have been several prospective renters who have visited, one of which wants to fill out an application. So my last day in New York is Dec. 1st, barring an applicant having unforeseen credit issues.

So this is really happening! It’s exciting but nerve-racking as well. I have three weeks to plan a cross-country move…

Still waiting to see how my grad school application shakes out. But I didn’t get the buyouts they were offering at my job, so now this is going to be a much riskier venture…Still holding out hope.

Still waiting on what’s going to happen with my current job, but we’re set on a move to Seattle. I’ve applied to graduate school, the fiancee is looking at UW Law and we have the benefit of family in the area.

Looking forward to packing up the car, leaving Manhattan and driving cross-country.

My girlfriend and I have already decided to move to the Pacific NW. It was just a question of whether it would be Seattle or Portland. After recently visiting both places, I’m just blown away by the natural beauty that Seattle offers. Plus, my girlfriend’s from there and it would be easier to assimilate our lives. I would like to move today, but realistically (and financially) it makes sense to wait three months. So, during that time, it’s looking for apartments, finding jobs, et al. My gf’s fam is from Mt. Baker, but we’re shooting for Wallingford, Fremont, Queen Anne, etc.
