From yesterday, today I saw a little toy car on my boss’ desk (she’s out of the office today) and I thought to myself, it needs a little person in there driving it around. Instead of saying to myself “that’s silly” and walking away, or deciding to do it later, I cut one out of paper and put it in the driver’s seat. It was fun, it looks like it’s waving to her.
Little thing, sure, but it’s the habit of just doing whatever silliness enters my mind; I want to be accustomed to doing that.

This goes with my procrastination goal; I just have to immediately DO the creative things that spring to mind, not think of them and decide to do them later, then forget about them, or think of them later when they are less exciting/interesting.
OK, I’m a creative professional so sometimes I don’t seem to want to be creative in my free time. But I really love it, mostly the people around me who just fearlessly entertain themselves with quirky creative little things that they share with others. I really enjoy that about them, and it inspires me to give in to my inner self and have spontaneous outbursts of creative oddity.
