decorate my house

Just bought a pretty new shower curtain, it’s blue.. instead of the used-to-be-clear-now-is-yellow one that came with the place and is now covered with orange slime no matter how often I wash it…
SO that’s an improvement.

I will set a concrete goal to get rid of something that’s ugly in my home each week. First up; pretty hampers instead of the plastic one from (I wish I was exaggerating here) high school!

Including the kitchen. But I have several stumbling blocks on this:
-I never have money to do a real overhaul, at once, planned, etc. It’s not a financial priority so I just don’t do it.
-I rent. This limits my options as far as what to do with my house
-My boyfriend has waaaaaaaaaaaay different taste than I do. It’s very hard to find common ground.

But, I think the things I could do are:
-Get a new shower curtain and maybe some containers for the bathroom
-Do something about the bathroom shelves
-make a new nightstand
-fix up my dresser
-paint the chairs and tray tables
-paint the outdoor bench
-put a cover over the armchair/convince my bf to get rid of it
-make air hockey table into a solid table convertible
-reveneer the dining room table
-have nicer containers to go under the desk
-get a beautiful vase
-have a nicer looking hamper so we don’t have to just hide it
