I just got back from my US West Coast + East Asia trip. Met friends and wandered around exploring on my own when my friends were busy. Took pictures of interesting things. Ate awesome food. Danced to Russian music. Had loads of fun.
Thinking of having a seperate ‘travel budget’ so I can travel at least once a year. I am exhausted, though. And I need to start working soon.

Anyway, the immigration officer at the US embassy in Jakarta was VERY nice and friendly to me. He interviewed me for only around 5-10 minutes. I thought that because I had the interview easy, I’d get a visa that would only be valid for a little while (like a B2 visa that’s only valid for 6 months). But when I picked up my passport I got a B1/B2 [explanation here] visa that’s good for 5 YEARS! THANK YOU!
PS: If anyone knows of any jobs that will allow me to travel to Africa, Oceania, and South America, please let me know!

Has been approved. I’ll be traveling to the US this year. The interview wasn’t as scary as I expected. The US embassy people are very nice. I used to live in the US (for 5,5 years). But I haven’t seen everything (only Michigan, Toledo, NYC, LA, DC, Chicago, Atlanta, Hawaii—and a few others), so I’m still excited.
I really want to visit: Africa, Oceania, and South America (maybe through work).
