This mini-version of LORD OF THE RINGS hasn’t disappointed me, and I especially want to recommend this to those who have watched the movie version whereas you can compare the differences and pick out some flaws found in the reproduction.
The more I read, the more I admire the power of imagination from our great writers!
Not quite believe that I’ve started Vol 2 now. Basically I like the plots and the variation of characterization and setting.
It is not only a children’s novel, and somehow it’s too violent and complicated for kids to read, isn’t it?
Ya, working hard on this and hope to start vol 3 soon.
Finally get the trilology in hand. The language is more complicated than expected. But so far the flow is fine and not that childish as Harry Potter.
It’s sad that I haven’t started my original booklist, but I found sth. else I want to read:
1. Philip Pullman – golden compass seires
2. ‘yung zeng kingdom’ by ‘February River’
3. All prose by Mr. Tao Kit
4. All other books about teaching
Really love and hate the books untouched on my shelf. And I must finish reading them one by one, before I die.
And here they are:
1. Lord of the Rings (All one one edition)
2. The Essential Drucker
3. Jack: Straight from the Gut
4. The seaside kafaka
5. The book of opposites
6. The six thinking hats
And the list will go on as I won’t stop buying books.
