I was just curious how much the plane tickets would be. So, I went to January 1st, 2009 for my departure date and picked the 31st for my return date.
A plane ticket would cost me…
almost $3000! Crazy. But I figured that’s how much it would be. A hotel, plus a car would be $7000!
I can’t spend almost $10,000 just to “live” in Australia!
Maybe I should go on a cruise. That way, I’ll just pay for the flight to Australia and the cruise.
A cruise is looking to be like $1000-$1500.
I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise too…
Hmm. Something to think about.

Yes, that is part of what they say at the beginning of The Real World.
What does this have to do with Australia?
This year, the cast of The Real World, is in Sydney, Australia.
So now, even though I never really watched The Real World (I do from time to time), I will now watch this entire season. Just for the simple fact of the place that they are in.
And from the first two episodes I’ve seen, I want to go there now more than ever.
Let the saving of the money begin.

...is going to school for Travel and Tourism. She recently had to do a project on a country that is like America. I suggested Australia.
She can get all of these books, because of her major. Basiclly books about going to Australia.
So, now I have all of this information. And I know how much I can save up for!

I just think it’s a very beautiful place, so unlike most of the world. I’d love to see the platypus, the emus, the dingo, the dugong, and especially the marsupials-kangaroos, koala bears, wallabys.
I can’t wait. I need to save up money.
I’m hoping to go by the beginning of my senior year {Fall 2008}. So that gives me just about 2 1/2 years to save.
