yeah, I haven’t been to the gym in a long long time.

things have come up, and with getting ready to leave I haven’t really had the time. And yes, there is excuses that arn’t weak.

I suppose I’ll just have to give it a go in Japan. Ive checked and theres a flash gym at the station I work at. And Im sure there will be a city sponsored gym somewhere in the area. And my friend Xina is going to take me to her tennis classes every monday.

In the mean time I’ll try to get to the gym when I can, and if not, take walks, do streches and crunches at home :)



last weeks efforts 3 years ago

Went to the gym twice. but that was twice more than the few weeks before that. now this weeks goal is three times. bad start to the week however with it being wednesday before I’ll end up going.

I really dont know why this goal is so difficult for me. I do enjoy myself when I go to the gym, but its amazing the excuses I make up to stop myself from just leaving the house…

For example, in the last week we have had some work done on our house, so I justified not going to the gym with “I have to be home to let the work man in or out” etc. I should have gotten up that little bit earlier so that I could have gone to the gym and it wouldnt have clashed…

Yesterday the work was finished so I thought to myself, theres no excuses now, and I was going to go to the gym today. And then I woke up at 11am, and decided Im not going to go becuase I only had 4 hours of the day left for me (becuase I start work at 3pm). I should have gone.

I will go tomorrow.

Strangely enough, this goal is closely related to another of mine – Get up on time. If only I could work these two bits of my life out and then i would be somewhat more happy.

went to the gym for the first time in weeks today, and I had forgotten how great you feel after exercising.

However I think Im going to be changing my strategy. I really just want to work on cardio rather than weights. So Im going to do my best to make it down to the gym 4 times a week to do that. And hopefully some classes. Unfortunately work likes to interfer with that. but I suppose its all a matter of setting whats important to you first.



I was a little worried 3 years ago

when I signed up for my gym membership it was a 6 month thing. and that 6 months ran out a few days, so I wasnt sure what was happening with my membership. So I rang them up, and as it goes, I can still pay the same fee and continue my membership.

So maybe its time to turn over a new leaf and ‘start over’ again. get a new program. go to classes. its exciting!



Back into the swing! 3 years ago

yay! i’ve been along to the gym three times a week in the last two weeks! now to keep that up and add some classes to the routine, and I’ll be happy (just in time for my membership to run out).

Count the figures –
weight last week – 65.5 kg
could jog – 10 minutes at 7.5kph
pushing – around 2 kg for the arms, and 45 for the legs



its still not happening 3 years ago

its like getting back on the bicycle…. just have to make the effort to get back on again…..

Have been going once a week to my dance/aerobics class thing, and thats going well, just have to get back into the habit of doing weights and cardio regularly

how horrid am I. I have all the good intentions to go more often, and its just not happening. what am i going to do with myself? Im turning into a ‘gunna’ like my dad! noooooooooo!

Well, I have been going to an aerobic class regularly, and I can tell you, its only been about 5 weeks but I’ve already noticed a difference, I’ve actually gone down a size, which really surprised me. I want to lose a little weight, but I think/thought it was much better to tone up. Obviously I am doing something right..

well, I had an operation about a month ago, and so I havent been to do a work out at the gym for ages. However, today I did a full work out, and so Im back into it. Lets just hope I can keep up to three workouts a week!

yeah, I had a small operation, so i wasn’t able to go to the gym for 2 weeks, however I am back into it today, so lets go for it! three times a week plus a class
