Dude, maybe next time… :\

Last night, what I’ve done, for the most part is made a program that reads stuff. Not too much, and today I am really just starting my work day at 8-fucking pm at night! So, not good.
Assigned Monday January 28th. Due Monday February 11th. Started on it… Today! : [
Based on the material went over in class, I must break down (on paper I guess) an Affine Cipher and a Substitution Cipher, determine the plain-text the cipher-texts had originated from, and find the key.
The plain-text versions of the Affine Cipher-text and Substitution Cipher-texts are written in plain English. It is important that I preserve punctuation in the message.
I must list all my steps used to decrypt the code in my report. Additionally, this should also include all statistical analysis and computations I had performed. I also need to report how many hours I spent working on the assignment.
Apparently, my professor also wants me to code, the work. Yet, I don’t think the coding will be my only source of work. I think I will need to work out the algorithm involved in decryption and write a program that is also capable of doing this as well. The program will be used to calculate tedious computations that would otherwise take me years to accomplish.
My professor suggests that I either use C++ or Java to write my program, and do this in a UNIX environment. But, however I feel like doing this is up to me.
Bottom line: I’ve been putting this assignment off, so I could do work in other classes and also because I didn’t study or do any work on certain days. As a result I have only a six days (not including today) left to accomplish this assignment.
I will need to study the notes from class and text book to make sure that I can execute the implementation on Affine and Substitution Ciphers. This will only prolong the time it takes for me to finish the work.
I hope this’ll work.
