that my spouse organized it for me while I was out in the mountains for four days? It was a nice surprise and now makes it easy for us to work on a new quilt together, but it doesn’t feel so much like I accomplished a goal.
Michael R. has written 4 entries about this goal
with the local church. They say men are welcome. If I start going, it might get me more organized.
so I don’t have much of a stash. I’ve got my first project, a 3 1/4 block wall hanging, stashed in a little plastic crate. I’ve got my first quilt, temporarily on hiatus, in a little wooden crate, and I’ve got the rest of my stash in a plastic flipside case, but none of these three have a valid storage place so I am really not organized yet.
I started another project. I haven’t finished any. I keep designing rather complex quilts and finally decided to start my quilting avocation with a relatively simple 3 1/4 block 1/2 runner to cover blemishes on the end of a bookcase. It is basically Crazy Ann blocks from The Quilter’s Recipe Book except that I’m dividing each block diagonally to make each block out of four pieced 45-45-90 triangles and whereas the book shows blue and gold I am doing red and gold because that is what my crazy Ann likes and what fits our decor. I’ve cut all the gold pieces and all the dark red pieces and all the medium red pieces. So that’s all organized. If I average that with various less organized things I already had, then on average I am getting more organized. Next I need to select fabric(s) for the light red pieces.
