my daughter-in-law hosted a gathering with all three of my sons in her little apartment for some good gumbo and games. What a sweetheart. I know it wasn’t easy for her to cram us all in.

He got his MBA after having been recognized the day before as his university’s outstanding graduate student. His brother, my middle son, got the BSCS yesterday. After the speeches, stage walking and snapping photos; we all tipped a few over chicken, burgers and crisps with dips. This included my son’s wife and her parents, my other son’s girlfriend, my youngest son and both my wives. It was a good little party and a good chance to get to know my son’s wife’s family a little better: and, with her dad insisting on at least paying the tip, the tab took tiny tears only on my VISA balance.

we went over for Greek food and German games so we brought a gift of Tillamook cheese to share a bit of our love of Oregon with a girl who we know loves cheese
