I applied for a job for the technical staff of the local congress casino- a beautiful building with lots of shows and dinners and stuff-
and the technical director called me approx. 30 minutes after I sent my application (e-mail)- we met and talked for 1,5 hours-
it was a good talk and I am glad I went- but I do not think that I want the job, though- they prefer a full time steady contract thing (which means to commit myself 40 hours a week) and no other jobs aside.
I made it clear that I would so much prefer to be freelancing and keep other jobs also- and he was open to it- still I am thinking,...
I am not really attracted to it- but it is nice that he would hire me anyway.
so it was basically a good thing to do.
next time I want to apply for a job where I have no idea of- I think that is much more fun.
I would like to try the complaints-section of ikea, maybe?
I guess I could have a good time there.
will try!

wednesday I will apply for a job in the village next to mine:
they look for someone who helps kids to study-
I did that years ago in a school- where I was the “afternoon-trainer” for the school.
I liked to work with the kids- but back then I had a colleague who was more than lazy and he kept saying that it is the best way to prepare kids for life is: just to let them alone- while I tried to help them with the homework and tried togehter with them to get better grades.
most of the kids had immigrant parents whose german was not good enough to help them with their homework- so that is the reason why they put them into this afternoon-training sessions.
so while I workes like crazy he was relaxing and doing nothing and I was not standing up for the right of the kids and also my rights- I should have kicked his ass, I think!
So I will try again, maybe,...hmm lets see.
at least I have another job interview.
good for me-
I love surfin the net for houses and apartments-
used to be almost addicted- I could imagine that would be a nice job for me: helping people to find what they are looking for.
the whole business does not have the best reputation here in Austria, though,...I will see!
keep your fingers crossed.
the interview is important because its the first step out of fantasy: how I inagine a job to be and actually trying it- I hope some other trials will follow (or: I love this job!)
