Super late posting this one, but I read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne which was very thought-provoking.
When you are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris: Definitely not the laugh-out-loud Sedaris that I’m used to, but still a great read. Very retrospective, a bit melancholy, a grownup voice.
My very first historical fiction reading and book number three for my “Read 12 books in 2008” goal. This was a fabulous read; very engaging, I felt an intense, womanly connection and understanding with the main character, Mamah Cheney Borthwick.
Holy crap. I FINALLY finished my first book, Ansel Adam’s biography. It was good, but maybe not the best first choice for my book-a-month goal. I decided to take it easy for book number two, picking up Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. I finished it in two days :)
I picked up Ansel Adam’s autobiography at the art museum gift shop after viewing his exhibition there.
It’s only going to be six books in 2008 because it’s already three weeks into May :) I’m aiming for a book a month until the end of the year. I used to be such a little bookworm, not sure what happened, but I do love to read, so this should be a fun goal.
