No progress in two months

I’m 231.4 now. A bit higher than what I was at on March 10th. I can’t start training for a run at this weight—I’ll wind up blowing my knees out. Registration for the St. George Marathon ends on May 7th, so I have a week to figure out if I’m going to sign up for it or not this year. I’m going to have to talk to my trainer to see if it’s feasible for me to lose enough weight that I can train for a marathon in October without risking injury.

Sssssllllloooowwww....

In six days I’m down a pound, to 228.8. At 220 I’ll be down 30 pounds from my heaviest. That’s too slow… I need to move a bit quicker on this, and I know I can do it. Six years ago when I started working out with a trainer, I managed to lose about four pounds a week… Hopefully I can get back to losing weight that fast again.

Registration for the St. George Marathon opens in April, and I really need to be in decent shape before I start training for it. The Marathon is in October, and I need to start training in May. I should probably be under 210 when I start training, but it’d be even better if I was under 200 by the time I started training. Hopefully I be at my goal weight of 185 by the time of the race.

At least I’m on my way down, and not stalled. I’m VERY happy about that.

Starting over

I eat when I’m nervous. I eat when I’m stressed. I eat to celebrate. I eat when I’m bored. I eat to relax.

This is hard.

Not exactly on schedule

So back in April I was thinking it would take me about 3 weeks to drop the remaining few pounds I had… Well, that didn’t happen. In fact, I went up a few pounds—now looking to lose about 20 pounds to meet this goal. I was 243, now I’m about 233. Hopefully I’ll start on my way down soon.

If all goes well...

I should be able to do this in 2-3 weeks, as soon as I finish with the lose 20 pounds goal, and hopefully that’ll be either tomorrow or Monday. It’d be great if I could get it done by the end of April—that way I’d be pretty close to my goal of being down 15 pounds for the month. The problem is that will take losing more than 5 pounds a week—and that’s a bit much for me…
